Dear Bothers:I would like to wish you and your families a Happy St. Patrick’s Day. I would also like to thank Judy and Bill Young for hosting the pre-parade party and inviting over 50 members from our men and ladies divisions. A good time was had by all. Division 2 did a great job with the preparation of meals for The Center in Asbury Park. Fr. Bob and associates were very appreciative of your efforts. Being the Lenten season, we will continue to assist the Center in meeting its service goals and objectives. The Center provides “Hygiene Bags” to clients to meet with their basic needs and most of these items are not allowable under the food stamp program. At our next division meeting on March 21st we will be collecting items for the Center’s “Hygiene Bag” program. All Division members are asked to bring what they can to the March 21st meeting. Hygiene items are:
March 24th will be our annual Irish Heritage Mass at St. Ann, 11am with a luncheon to follow at Town and Country Diner, Hwy 35, Keyport, Fr. Dan celebrating mass in Irish. For more information contact Kevin Weldon 732-236-4073. Prior to mass, the NJAOH will be holding a meeting at 9am at St. Ann school; all members are invited. The Barn is a non-profit organization helping the needy and is looking for volunteers. Please see Jerry Duffy at our next meeting for volunteer information. On April 14th the NJAOH Major Degree will be held in Lacy Township. If you have not taken your degree please see VP Gerry Ward for information. On April 21st our brothers in Freehold will be hosting there 5th annual Evening with the Irish honoring NJAOH State President Jack Sullivan as Hibernian of the Year & Past President Bill Young as Irishman of the Year. Entertainment by the Willie Lynch Band at St. Thomas More Parish Hall, Manalapan; BYOB and Appetizers. Tickets are $20, info @ 732-577-0802 or 732-431-4679.
