Dear Brothers: Our first annual New Year’s Eve Party was a great success thanks to the hard work of Kevin McKittrick and the Round the House band. We look forward to next year. The fourth annual Polar Bear Plunge was a great success raising over $62,000 to benefit local Catholic Schools Scholarship Funds. Bergen County AOH raised $10,000 which is not in our local total. Chairmen Jim Shaw and the Plunge Committee have done another fantastic job. I would also like to thank the four other AOH divisions that participated and helped to make this day a success. Every year it gets bigger and better. On Saturday, January 23 the AOH, K of C and Ashley Lauren Foundation with host a bone marrow screening and blood drive at our hall from 12-3pm. The drive is seeking matches for the people battling cancer, including Evan Sullivano, a 17 year old Middletown teen diagnosed with an aggressive form of leukemia. The screening process only a few minutes is done with a simple cheek swab. Please take a few minutes to stop by and participate in either the screening or blood donate to help save a life.
