On Saturday March 21st the Irish Heritage Mass will be held at St Ann Church, Keansburg at 11AM. Mass will be celebrated by our own Fr. Dan Cahill in the Irish language with a luncheon to follow at the KofC Hall with a cost is $15; food, coffee and a cash bar. I know March is a busy month for all the Irish affair’s that are happening however; this is an Irish Catholic affair and many do not have the chance to attend Mass in the language of our ancestors. Please come out and show your Irish Catholic pride. March 21st will be the first night of the dart league we need 6 teams of 5 to get this off the ground. Thanks to Point Pleasant Distributors we have 3 brand new boards and cabinets.0 Doors at the hall open at 5pm and games start at 6pm. March 27th we will be traveling to St. Raymond High School in the Bronx to help Brother Daniel work the Golden Glove Semi finals. This is the last round before Madison Square Garden. There are 4 spots left on the bus if you would like to volunteer that night. Please remember it will be a late night. April 18th the New Jersey State Board will be offering the Major Degree in Forked River at the Lacy Elks. Any brother that has not made his Major Degree should see Gerry Ward. The Degree is meant to teach the lessons of the order and is the quintessential step in becoming a fully fledged Hibernian. May 2nd is the Third annual Stickball tournament. This year the tournament will be held at St. Mary’s / Mater Dei High School. This event is open to all AOH members, families and friends. There will be an organizational meeting to discuss the event on Sunday, March 15th at 2PM at the KofC Hall. Our quest to purchase a stained glass window in the name of Vol. Patrick Torphy Div.2 for the new St. Mary Mother of God Church in New Monmouth continues. To date we have raised $15,222. We will be meeting with Fr. Mike to discuss his ideas.
