About Us

Background

The AOH was founded in this country in 1836 at St. James Church in New York City. Its roots, however, are found in Ireland dating back 300 years. Since then it has continued to grow and prosper until it has become the largest and most influential body of men, both young and old, of Irish lineage in the world.

Our Division was formed in 1990 by several dedicated Hibernian brothers. The division takes its name from Patrick Torphy, a deceased brother who's life was an inspiration to many.
