Pipe Band

The Division is the host for the Volunteer Patrick Torphy Pipe & Drum band.  The band was formed in 2010 by members of the Division with support from membership and can be seen performing at many charity events, parades, and AOH functions.

The Torphy Pipes and Drums is always looking for more members to join the ranks.  We offer free bagpipe and drum lessons for boys and girls ages 8 to 80, every Tuesday night starting at 6:30PM at the Bayshore Catholic Center.  Just think, it could be you marching with the band next year!  You don’t need any musical experience whatsoever (trust me!) and it’s a great opportunity to share Irish camaraderie, hoist a pint or two and give back to the community.

The band proudly performs every year at the Middletown 9/11 Gardens, “Run with Dennis”, plus a variety of fundraisers and benefits for churches, sandy survivors, first responders, AOH club members and more.  Ask a band member for more information about joining or email Joe Donohue at rjdonohue@verizon.net for more details.

The band operates as a separate entity and AOH membership is not a requirement for band membership.
