President’s Message – Feb 2015

This year’s Dinner Dance was another success. I would like to thank all of our members, their families and of course, our Hibernian of the Year, John Foy for the wonderful speech and Richie O’Brien for being Irishmen of the Year. Too many people to thank but it was a special night for both the LAOH honorees as well as our officers.

Our first Valentine’s Day evening was a rousing success. Thanks to all who made the night special, especially Bob and Jackie for the drink and food. The band renamed themselves Mater Dei’s and Confused, showing their hearts are in the right place. Hopefully we can continue do have nights like this every month.

It is our busiest month of the year with it all starting this Saturday evening at Aders, who run a tribute each year to First Responders and our Band is honored to be asked to play at this great event. All AOH members are welcome to come and give their thanks and support to our First Responders. Sunday begins March with the Belmar Parade. Our bar opens at 9 am with Steve and Mr. Wonderful tending the Bloody Marys, Mimosa’s & Irish Coffee before the buses leave at 10 am. The bar will re-open at 2.30 after the parade. Come on down for a festive afternoon.

Our band will be seen state wide throughout March starting with this Saturday evening at Ader’s. See the schedule below for all of St. Patrick’s month too.

Living our Motto,
Howie
